The Space That Sparks My Creativity
What space or place helps you feel creative?
Since I work from home, I’ve curated my space to spark creativity. My studio is also my bedroom, so I’ve made sure it feels more like a creative sanctuary than anything else. I’m a collector at heart and love being surrounded by color, my room is filled with little wonders. If you want to know my favorite things, just look around.
The one thing I don’t have on my walls is art. I leave that space blank to leave room for new ideas. With so much content coming at me daily, having that emptiness helps me breathe and quiet the noise. But I do keep books, trinkets, and art supplies nearby, they're my visual reminders to stay inspired and make something.
Plants calm me, colors excite me, and tools of the craft call me to create.
Still, I can’t stay home all the time, it starts to weigh on me. Walks, art shows, museums, movies, and theater all feed my creativity in different ways. And being around other creative people? That’s what really keeps the fire alive.
How about you? What space helps you feel creative and how does it feed your spark?
