The Love I Carry Into My Work
What kind of love do you pour into your creative work?
The love that I carry is poured from many different wells.
At the core, it comes from my passion to create — even when the work doesn’t have some deep, profound meaning. My love of art and the act of making is always there, embedded in each piece.
Sometimes I pour from the well of pain — of grief, of memory, of past wounds that still echo. That kind of love comes from the part of me committed to healing, to growing, to visually becoming.
Other times, I create from joy — from the desire to share my inner world, to express gratitude for being alive and getting to experience this messy, beautiful human life.
No matter the source — whether it’s passion, pain, or peace — the love I pour into my work is real. It’s layered. It’s me.
